    Hello there,
I have this problem where Mountain Lion keeps resetting my wallpaper to the default one, I am using only one drive on my MBP and it was fully working on Snow Leopard even if the files are not on the OS drive, but now it keeps resetting the wallpaper even after I changed my wallpapers folder to be on the OS drive, I tried deleting the com.apple.desktop and I am running out of ideas.

mine occasionally shows the wrong one after switching monitors around... I think its just a bug. Mine never changed beyond that.

For me, it resets after each restart! no monitors connected.
