I just put in the order for my new 13" MBP 2.26Ghz laptop, and I'm looking to purchase some protection for the keyboard. The Moshi Clearguard and the iSkin ProTouch seem like the two biggest/bestest contenders out there right now. What are your thoughts on these products?

I like the Moshi because it's so thin and pretty much transparent, so it'll have less of a "feel" than a silicon cover and I'll still be able to see the fabulous backlit keyboard. However, what is this I am reading about the Clearguard becoming cloudy after a bit of use? Is there a way to avoid this (perhaps by washing it, and if so, how often)?

In the other keyboard protector thread a lot of people are suggesting the iSkin ProTouch. What are the advantages of this protector over the Moshi? I have a silicon cover on my Sony right now and I don't mind the feel. Are you still able to see the backlit keyboard well enough? If I go with the iSkin I will either get the green one or the clear one with no black keys.

Both seem to be about the same price, with the Moshi just a bit cheaper on Amazon.com.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

I don't know much about the iSkin but I'm use the moshi and I really like it. Unlike the other rubber/silicon protectors that I used, I actually forget that I'm using a keyboard cover after a while when typing over the moshi clear guard.

I'm leaning a bit towards the Moshi right now. My coworker has one on his MB and it's very nice. My main concerns are with durability (It's so thin! Will it wear out quickly?) for the Moshi. If I'm paying ~$25 for a keyboard protector I want it to last for sure. My main concerns for the iSkin are visibility (I want some backlight!) and feel.

I JUST ordered the Moshi a few days ago and have been using it on my MBP 13". Overall, I like it. It doesn't fit the laptop PERFECTLY but well enough (I am experiencing some looseness near the edges of the cover where it doesn't fit entirely into the groove of the keyboard. Very minor issue though that may go away with time and use).

You do feel some difference with typing with the cover on but I actually quite like the traction it gives better than the keyboard alone. I really like having the cover on and knowing crumbs or water won't get into the keyboard. And it is VERY clear, you can definitely enjoy the backlighting if you want with the Moshi. It barely looks like I have anything on my keyboard at all. Overall, even with the negative, I would recommend the Moshi cover.
