Guys I know I only need a single link DVI-D to DVI-D to connect my Macbook to a monitor. But what if I have a dual link would it effect anything? Would it make sense to by a dual just in case I need one in the future. Thanks.

the mini-dvi from apple is ONLY single-link from what i read.

youll never need a mini-dvi dual link.

Hrm? Dual link will not effect your ability to use a normal monitor. Just means you can run the very large monitors with a single cable.

I have it right here and it has holes to fit a dual link. I know I only need a single link since it only transmits digital signals. But would a dual have any problems?

Ok, so that means I can use it just in case if I need it for another laptop that supports/needs a dual.

The reason I question it also because a dual link cable is cheaper.
