I'm trying to play counter-strike on my boot camp partition and when I pl,ug my headset in the realtek audio program says that it is plugged in. when I go into play my game and test the mike the computer seems to be pulling the audio from the microphone that is used for the isight camera. Does anyone know how to switch the audio source so it will pick up my headset mic and not the webcam mic? Any help would be greatly appreciate. Have a good one!!!

    Check under the control panel.

Not sure where it would be, since I haven't done a whole lot in windows lately.

I've already clicked around in there...and tried a few things...and it didn't work. So just wondering if someone has clicked around enough to get it to work?

I swear there was something under the sound or audio preferences, where you can select the input and output. Bah... I just don't remember lol.

    Must be getting old...

Can't you chose it in the in-game settings?

Control Panel->Sound and Audio Devices->Voice Tab and in that tab you should be able to select what hardware is being used. You should also test to see if it is working... Hope that helps.

I tried the headset in another computer and it worked. I went into the setting on leopard and it picks up voice from the webcam and not the headset when plugged in? Does this mean I have a bad microphone port? because the headphone port works???

The microphone input in the MBP is a line input, not a mic input.

So you gotta buy a little adapter that adds power to the signal. I forget what theyre caled, but you can find them online and probably at the apple store.
