hey guys, im pretty confident that buying a 7.2k hdd will be cheaper then upgrading to one, and since the it 2.4 model comes with a 5.4 and its like a 100 bucks or somthing to upgrade. So i decided to buy another one, and swap it out myself, i already have a ssd on the way for booting and im gonna swap out my opti drive for a 7.2 for storage. Any thoughts guys on what kind of Hdd i should get? and also, an ssd + another 7.2krpm hdd, how hot will my laptop run?

If it's for storage you might want to consider a 5400RPM.

You should just get your self a 1 to 2TB and run it though USB or Firewire... You can superduper the drive when its complete, you can restart hit option and choose what drive to boot from and now your working right from your external HHD!! So awesome I love it!
