    Mbp Shocks Me

    When im running on battery power, and when im standing on a carpet for along time and i touch the computer it gives me a severe shock. is this normal or is there something wrong

    You are probably building up static when on the carpet. Try touching a metal door handle instead of the notebook to see if it happens then as well...or better yet, someone else!

    All joking aside - you might be shocking the computer, or the computer might be shocking you. The "door handle test" will hopefully help, but no computer should be shocking anyone.

    Is it all carpets or just this particular one?
