Can I map the following "commands" to a Lenovo USB keyboard connected to an imac:

    1. Move to Trash
    2. Volume Mute
    3. Volume Up
    4. Volume Down

I tried to map Move to Trash to a key by:

    opening System preferences,
    selecting keyboard & Mouse,
    clicking the plus sign,
entering "Move to Trash" in the Menu Title field,
    highlighting the Keyboard Shortcut field
pressing the delete key on the keyboard

I am rewarded with a bell (or is it a ding) sound but no mapping.

Is what I seek to do possible? If so how?
