Yeah they are, aren't they? :) I love the minimalistic packaging as well. Just a tiny box with a handle. I couldn't help but thinking when I walked out of the apple store with it, how the heck do they fit everything inside this tiny box???
I remember my Dell inspiron that came to me, the box was HUGE. It kind of felt like opening a christmas present, but with the macbook, I just opened it and there it was. :) Kudos to Apple for that. :D

If I might ask how much was the ram and hdd upgrade total?

I'm considering doing the same for mine.

Sure Hard Disk I got for $91 from Dell thread from Bargain Forum here and RAM for $50 from Newegg. Prices include taxes while shipping was free from both

Glad to hear you are enjoying your purchase. Its a totally new experience isn't it? I remember opening mine and feeling the same way, I also loved the welcome video. Apple just seems to put more into the entire experience than any PC I ever owned. Its part of the reason that Mac haters just can't understand why people love their Mac because they have never experienced it. Sure you can go to the store and play with a Mac but its different when you actually own one.

Looks like a lesser version but still multi-touch. From Apple's website...

"With two-finger scrolling, the trackpad becomes a fast track to wherever you want to go. And if you come from a right-click world, it’s easy to make the MacBook fit in your comfort zone. Just place two fingers on the trackpad and click the button for easy right-click functionality."

touch = the smooth packaging, the ultra-smooth polycarbonate casing of the notebook.
