I currently have numerous mail files stored on "on my mac' and want to know if there is a way to file an e-mail in one of those folders and have the same e-mail put into a file named "saved" on my .mac account.

The reason I would like to do this is to avoid having all the folders appear on my ipod touch. I prefer to have everything I have saved appear in one file on the touch, but be able to have multiple files within my apple mail.

If I understood you correctly, I think this will give you what you want: You can make a copy of an email by right/ctrl-clicking on the mail in Mail.app and choosing "Copy to". There you will be shown all the available choices of where to copy it to, such as your "saved" folder on .Mac (MobileMe).

Is that what you were looking for?
