    Mail Problems

    I have spent literately hours trying to get this to work with my Tiscali UK mail server.

    Some times i can receive but not send , then i send but note receive and i keeps telling me my password has not been accepted.

    I have download thunderbird and it works fine, but i would like to be able to use the built in mail. :mad:

    I like Mail better than Thunderbird... but I've never had any issue like that. Does your Mail service have installation directions for Apple Mail? I only really use gmail, so it makes it easy since Apple Mail will set it up for you automatically.

    Yeah, Tiscali has a guide to setting up email on a mac but i have followed it to the letter a dozen times, no good.

    I have read the mac guide to setting up mail, it mentions auto settings but i dont see any, i think it does not like my service provide so auto is not available.

    The telephone helpline is far too expensive, and i doubt they would be much help.

    I have setup mail accounts on PC`s a thousand times with no problems, I will just have to keep trying.
