    Yes, I did.

Called Apple and they sent me a new Magsafe adapter.

    Works great now.

uh... mine does it all the time.

actually... what the heck. I thought it just did it at full charge... but I'm at 91%. If I reconnect it, it does the *Calculating...* bit and starts charging.

Interesting considering this is a new issue I've noticed since Leopard. My power adapter is only a year old (was replaced due to catching on fire :p ).

Is there a break in the cord somewhere? Mine never turns off.

Is this issue enough to get the whole macbook pro exchanged?? Because I've got a 65W magsafe adapter from a macbook and I tried to recreate this for the last 10 minutes on the macbook using the macbook pro's magsafe and no problems with the green led light... also I tried to recreate this with the macbook's adapter and it happens again..

My green light turns off on occasion. But it still says it's charging and the battery never drops.

I think I'll just keep my mbp as it has no other issues besides the green led not coming on.. Im just more afraid of dead/stuck pixels, vertical backlight problems that the current 15" have

Hrm... so not many other people are experiencing it saying it's not charging and no green light? Man... weird.
I run into it all the time... unplugging the magsafe and reconnecting seems to work fine. And it generally only stops charging at high 80's or low 90's percent charge.

Wish i had apple care to get my logic board replaced :(
Couldn't afford it when I was finishing school, and by the time I could, I missed my year deadline by 2 weeks.

Same here on my new 17" MBP. Reconnecting helps. I really don't care to much, since, when the battery is charged, the battery icon still reads "Charged". So apparently, the battery isn't depleted when the green light dims (it's actually not off, just dimmed). AFAICT, Charging times are normal.
