    After 4 tries with DELL......

    1. Cracked Battery (XPS 1330)
    2. Cracked Battery and bad screen (XPS 1530)
    3. Warped Keyboard (XPS 1530)
    4. Washed out and grainy screen (Inspiron 1720)

...I got myself a Macbook Pro. This thing is great...perfect in every way. Anyone interested in a custom built AMD FX-55 PC with dual 20" monitors?? LOL :)

i made the switch recently too, but have only one quirk about the system, i hate the fact that whenever I close the lid it goes to sleep mode, there might be ways to get past that, still if the lid is closed, and system is running, the vents are blocked, and that will cause problems. this is a huge design flaw, i love mac, but this thing bothers me a lot. i cannot have anything like adium, or azureus running without the lid not being open.

You can use InsomniaX to keep your Mac "awake" when the lid is closed :). Yeah, its probably not going to help your Mac if you do, but lots of users do that, so I don't anticipate it being a big problem.

The MBP sure is a beautiful piece of hardware. I've owned many notebooks but this thing takes the cake. Oh and Leopard isn't bad either. Enjoy. :)

I had some major issues with my Dell XPS M1330. Techs coming out, sending it back to Dell for repair, one screw up after another by Dell. And Vista didn't make things any easier.

Just picked up a new MacBook this past Saturday and I'm loving it as well!

Cool...I just ordered another MBP to get the new upgrades...I'll be passing down this one to a family member because they need a mac for school. Guess it will be like an early chrismas present.
