I was wondering if anyone knew if the macbooks support hdcp on their dvi ports. I know the cards are hdcp compatible, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the ports are.

I realize the macbook doesn't have an hd drive, but ideally I would like to hook up my external hd dvd drive to it.

Also, if anyone has had the chance, does the Macbook Air support HDCP on its micro DVI?

    Thanks

    does anyone know??

if u want to test and have windows loaded, you can use one of the powedvd test applications:
    http://www.cyberlink.com/english/support/bdhd_support/diagnosis.jsp

a small file that tests your system to make sure its up to par

however, the only way to check the port would be by hooking it up to an hdcp compatible dvi port on an external display (like a dell 2407)
