    Hey,

Need some more help. I love the portability and look of the Macbook. However i need enough power to blaze through photo editing programs like photoshop and aperature. Do you think there will be a big difference between the MB and MBP?..the MBP has a faster processor by .33 ghz and an old 256mb Radeon x1600 graphics card.

Also, If the MBP is better, is there a big difference in getting 2 GB of Ram and 3 GB of Ram?

The processor difference isn't going to make a huge difference in terms of processing.

For Photoshop the GPU won't make a difference. But for Aperture it definitely would.

Aside from that, the 1280x800 screen res on the regular MacBook would be pushing it.

More RAM always helps Photoshop, Aperture, etc. frankly.

I'd say MBP because of the screen choices. With the macbook you can only get glossy which will make your colors have more depth. With the MBP and a matte screen your colors will be closer to what they should be.

Depends what programs you want to use. Macbook Pro's are always preferable but Macbook can still work. I use Aperture and Photoshop and have used Lightroom and Lightroom runs very well on a Macbook. Photoshop pretty good as well, provided it's CS3.

Aperture on the other hand runs ok, sluggish at times but the recent update fixed that a little. That's because it runs on GPU, and since the Macbook only has an integrated graphics card, that's a problem.
