After listening to the annoying squeaks my Macbook made when the displayed wobbled, I finally got tired of it and figured I needed to do something about it. This is how I fixed the squeaking noise the hinge made.

    Tools needed:
    1. WD-40
    2. Q-tip
    3. Clean towel

Step 1. Spray some WD-40 on the Q-tip. One or two sprays should be fine.

Step 2. Insert your doused WD-40 Q-tip between the display and the base of your Macbook. Twist and turn the Q-tip while pushing it against the hinge so the WD-40 gets on the hinge.

Step 3. Open and close your display for about 20 times or until the squeaking stops.

Step 4. Clean the excess WD-40 that got on your display bezel, base, etc.
