    Macbook shut down issues.....

    I find that if I close the screen while the MB is shutting down it will stay on in some wierd kinda idle and complete drain the battery and get super heated. When yu go to powerdown you need to remove the battery and power supply before the restart.

    I have read on other apple fourms that is isn't an isolated issue, but is there a fix out there?

    Are you waiting for it to completely shutdown before closing the screen?

    It sounds like your putting it into sleep mode when you close it as you shut it down.

    Like bandaid said, make sure you leave the lid open until the screen until it goes black and the computer shutsdown. Otherwise it will go into limbo.

    If this end up being the case, look at the bright side, at least you calibrated your battery. :D
