I just have to say that it's a refreshing change to use a laptop LCD that can be used comfortably at 3 notches below max brightness. This thing is brighter than my XPS M2010...

Getting used to OSX is happening quicker than I thought. Some quirks to go through, but overall pretty pleased. What did people do before Spaces I wonder?

I know what you mean. I can't set my MBP to more than 50% in my room or i get blinded.

Haha, it depends for me...if the room is dark and the only light is coming from my MacBook, then I have to turn down a few levels of Brightness. Yes, its a pretty bright screen.

And have you checked out my two "signature" links yet? Man, I haven't posted these links in so long! :p

As for the Spaces comment...I don't have Leopard yet, so I guess you could say I have to use Expose quite a lot :p. Wish I could get Leopard.

Actually when the only light in the room is from the macbook, I only use one notch above no backlight. Anything above that is bothersome. I only use it to max brightness when I am outdoors.

Hmm, I really wish I could install Picasa. It's going to take some time and getting used to iPhoto to see which ones better. I do like the "Events" though.

i just want to toss in a quick comment....I thought that the brightness was pretty intense on my macbook as well. Until i calibrated my screen. i ended up find out that the default color profiles are all so washed out, and the brightness is up so high! i set every thing to my liking, and now everything looks so much better and more dynamic. colors look like they should.

The screen is definitely still very bright, much brighter than my HP, so at night it definitely needs to get turned down

You know, I could never calibrate well using that thing. Maybe the whole brightness thing was just too vague for me.

Try SuperCal if you also find the Apple color profiler to be hard to get used to. It's old and only PPC architecture, but it works well.
