    what exactly can you boot from w/ the macbook pro?

    can i boot from usb in particular?

    im lazy and don't want to look it up- its not exactly a day to day issue...

    You can boot from an OS X installation located on your external USB or Firewire HD.

    Not only that! but you can do Firewire target mode! Not sure how that works, but you can access files on another OS X machine with it being off from what I understand.

    USB, firewire. if you want, you might be able to install linux/windows on an external and boot from that with Refit. dont know tho i've never tried it. but anyway, i would recommend refit to anybody that uses bootcamp.
