So I like games...and im sure there are games i like that are not available on the mac OS.

I also like to use the mac for my music recording etc and I love the look fit and feel of the mac.

With the new boot camp allowing me to boot into vista...will this be like playing the same games with the same quality / performance as on a native PC?

Or is there some hidden secret like "you *can* play em but it will suck" message i am missing here?

Nope, boot camp will run your games fine with the same quality and preformance, however, getting some extra RAM would be nice - at least 2GBs is recommended for gaming. :)

Which Mac are you planning on buying? :)

Also, buying RAM pre-installed from Apple will be several times more expensive then buying from a 3rd party. Newegg for USA, and NCIX for Canada are good places to buy from.

edit; ignore the top. I realized the thread title. xD

I play games on my Mac flawlessly with Vista. There are games for Mac, but trying to run a windows game on OS X just means it simply won't run it, because OS X doesnt have direct X and cant read the file type. Pop windows on there though and all your issues go away. Also for the RAM I would recommend sticking with the base 2GB and buying the full 4GB elsewhere. That way you save hundreds of dollars, and still have the 2 1GB sticks that came with your MBP that you can now sell ;)
