A quick question, I have the opportunity to buy a second hand macbook pro 17" i7 4gb ram anti-glare screen with 2 1/2 year applecare, a few scratches on the bottom none on the screen for 1500 USD is this a good deal? I'm a PC guy so haven't been paying attention to Mac prices lately, for a PC laptop 1500 is pretty damn high for those specs but I believe the mbp's pricing is a bit different.

big question .... what are you going to use it for?
its a great price on that machine, but if it does not suit your needs its not a good deal.

That is an excellent price for a Macbook Pro 17" i7 (620 or 640) and Applecare.

I'm a PC guy so in that sense it does not suit my needs but I know several people who wants a macbook pro so I can turn around and sell it to them if i don't like it, I guess my question becomes will selling it to them at my buying price be unreasonably too high or low?

Ok, went ahead and bought it since it appears to be reasonably priced and I can always sell it to one of my friends who love macs if i don't like it, do I need anything to transfer the warranty? or does it simply comes with the laptop like dells do?

Did you buy it from a friend? I'd be wary of any online sale for that price.

Very good price but just as SubZero said, be careful if it's an online purchase.
