You should have in mind that the Adobe Creative Suit is still not a Universal Binary and will therefore run on Rosetta technology.

Be sure to get enough ram (read: 1.5GB or better yet, 2GB) because those applications you mention will take up a lot of system memory.

The MacBook Pro will give you increased real-estate, which is important for those things you mention. The 1440x900 screen is very nice and is probably one of the best there is.

It really comes down to how much you want to spend and what you really need.

I think Pro would be best for you. But as Pressure pointed out, since it is not UB as of yet, you will need at the very least 1.5GB of RAM, or else it will lag fairly severely.

If you plan to use an external monitor, the macbook could work since I think most of the stuff you want to deal with is more cpu-intensive than anything. If you aren't strapped for cash, then definately go for the MBP...it's nicer, been out longer (more refined), and slightly more powerful.

Like others said, Adobe is going to run slower than on a PC so it might be wise to either wait or just settle on a pc...especially if you are a power user.
