Is there any program for the mac so I can browse my divx encoded videos based off their movie box art? Instead of black boxes I mean. I would like something like cover flow for cd albums. Thanks.

You might want to try Drive-In.
    http://www.flip4mac.com/drivein.htm

Not sure if it works with xvid, but it looks like it works with DVDs. Might want to check it our either way

you could just use coverflow that is built into finder if you are using leopard, then simply change the icon for the movie file to the cover art of your choice.

If you have QuickTime Pro you can create reference movie files and use iTunes.

You should also install Perian. Open the movies in QuickTime Pro, choose File, Save As, Save As Reference Movie. You will get a .mov file. Import the .mov files into iTunes and then set the Artwork.

If you do what I said you will be able to play the movies directly in iTunes. You will have Cover Flow, List View, and Album View - and all the other features of iTunes.
