my macbook has been on repair for nearly a month now :( i only had it in my hand for 2 weeks. should i ask them for a replacement instead? the problem is broken CPU fan and crooked keyboard.

btw, i purcashed APP and buy it straight from apple via the phone, and upgrade the RAM and HDD from apple also.

when you have a problem with your apple do you ask for replacement or repair?

edit: btw; should i be worried that the repair compromised the laptop longterm reliability? the repair is being done at apple AD

Don't know if you would get a replacement after only one repair, but I'm sure you could at least get some compensation (in the form of something from the Apple Store).

Yes. Call them, explain your situation and demand a replacement. You might even be able to get a brand new Core 2 Duo Macbook.

I would call them as well. A month is way too long.

Don't know how are things in US, but here you have a legal right to demand either your money back or a new equipment if it´s been that long.

just received them today; well... they let the battery run flat, when the laptop is put to sleep. coz the notebook acted a bit when i first turned it on (via an adaptor) and just restart suddenly (thats how i know that they put it to sleep instead of shutdown. is that ok?

the people are friendly.. but they don't seems to know much about technology... hmmm...

btw, they replace the keyboard, top case, and the CPU fan.
