Hi guys been thinking about a mac for a while, need it for school and general computing

    1. Can i replace the HDD with lets say a 320GB 7200rpm one?
    2. Would there be a noticable difference in performance between the 120GB 5400rpm HDD and the 320GB 7200rpm HDD?
    3. Does the Macbook have the same removable panel on the bottom like the MBP?
4.. Could i use photoshop and dreamweaver with this (Would it run smoothly)

I would be getting the basic model with the
    2GHZ processor
    2GB DDR3 RAM
    120GB HDD
    and so on

thanks guy for all your help!! you have helped me a lot in making my decision of getting a mac :)

P.S Sorry for another 'question' thread :(

You can replace hard drive, but not sure 7200 rpm would work....have to ask someone who knows about this....performance gain from HDD speed will not be as significant as GPU or RAM upgrade but is often a bottleneck in processes like transferring data....I believe it has a removable bottom just like MBP....and the photoshop will run smoothly with the new specs

Already have mine, hot from the Apple store last night.

For OP, the panel access is the same as the MBP, just pop the switch and the panel pops up :).
