Hey I would have posted this in the gaming section, but this is a little more specific to the macbook pro. I have the 2.4ghz macbook pro, and I was wondering for others out there, what settings they are able to play crisis at and what type of framerate they were getting. Because i tried the demo and everything on medium with 1280x720 and got about 17-22fps max.

    Any insight would be great

    thanks

I just installed the demo and played it tonight.

At first I was excited since I clicked "Auto Configure" graphics options and it said my optimal setting would be "High". Sure, it's pretty, but at 5FPS it's less than desirable.

Anyways, you can play it at 1440x900x32 with Medium Settings (Shadows Low) and get between 15 to 30 FPS.

However, the game won't look it's best on an MBP. The graphics card simply won't allow it with it's ridiculous 128bit bus. So I'll stick with 1024x768 with High Settings, no AA and no AF. :(

Edit: Windows XP SP2 with default Boot Camp drivers, no overclock.

Eugh, I wouldn't touch it at a non-native resolution, even if settings had to be turned down, much less play it without a widescreen resolution.

Has anyone tried on a MBP with a 128MB X1600? I'm hoping 1024x640 is playable at low-med settings.

I run it at 1024x640, everything set to high except shadows and object detail on low, shaders and textures on medium.
DX9 mode in Vista, using the 169.04 drivers from Laptopvideo2go.
Runs really nicely, seems to be 25-35fps for the most part, really happy. :)
