Guys, my macbook pro is only 3 months old. I have been using it for school work and nothing seems spoiled. Did not drop it or anything . Still in perfect condition. Then one day , the keyboard and touch pad suddenly stopped working. HOW ????

Guys i really need u all to help me. School is starting again in like just a few weeks time.

Try removing the keyboard and see if any ribbon cables (careful!) are disconnected.

If your system is that new, don't risk taking it apart. If you live near an Apple store, take it directly there. Make sure you also bring a copy of your sales receipt to prove date of purchase. If you show a technician that it's not working, you may be able to get a replacement system on the spot. Just make sure you've backed up your important data before you go. ;)

If you don't leave near an Apple store, you'll have to call them.

You will most likely need to have the upper case assembly replaced. Clearing the PRAM (by holding command-option-P-R on boot 3 times) may fix the problem temporarily. Did this happen all at once? Or have you noticed periodic keyboard and/or track pad freezing up to this point?

Don't open it up since it's still new. Take it to a store if you can.
