    Macbook Pro IPS screen?

    I've heard that the macbook pro uses an ips screen as opposed to a tn screen? Does anyone know if this is true? If the macbook pro uses a ips screen it would really be worth it.

    No, it's not true.

    No one produces IPS screens anymore, and the notebooks that had IPS screens were only standard 4:3 format.

    So the reason that the macbook pro screen looks so nice compared to the screen on my toshiba is because they are both 15.4 inch screens but the macbook pro is 1440x900 as opposed to 1280x800 on my toshiba.

    No, because the MBP has a 300 nits LED Backlit screen...
