    So,

Do you think they'll totally redesign the MBP, with new sizes (14-inch and 18 inch for example).

    Or they'll refresh it?

Personally, I think it's time to totally redesign it, judging by the lifecycle of Powerbook G4.

As long as its "redesign" and not something breakthrough like 3d glasses iOS i dont really care.

Liquid Metal rumours seem fairly strong, although I suspect it'll look pretty similar. They haven't hugely changed the design for a long time, more incremental improvements like the unibody etc.

Re. form factors, I'd bite their bloody hands off for a 12". I loved that G4...

3D Glasses gets annoying, I'd prefer similar technology as the Nintendo 3DS screen where you don't need to use glasses for 3D effect.

    Liquid Metal?

I Personally thing G4 still looks better than MBP, hate the glossy bezel on the MBP.

i just meant some new cool and useful technology as opposite to "new form".
I know that eyes get tired really fast in 3d glasses.

New form is a big plus of course, but yes I do care about form because at the same time I believe it shares the design with build quality (shouldn't even worry about it since the Unibody design is strong enough to last long) plus new chips etc,

And 3D glasses aren't practical in my opinion.

Really, even with a complete "re-design," I don't see much changing. In fact, Apple has pretty much kept the same external design (in terms of aesthetics) since the PowerBook G4. They have used some type of silver metal for the hoursing, standard keyboard, etc. I don't think Apple is going to follow other companies who release complete re-designs (both in aesthetics, internal hardware, and added features) every year or so. Apple's re-designs have always been rather minimal.

A liquid metal MBP may look just like the current unibody aluminum MBP models. Most of Apple's design changes have been under the hood. So I wouldn't be surprised if they release a 2012 MBP using liquid metal that looks just like what is out now only running newer hardware and maybe having a different port configuration (like splitting up mini displayport and thunderbolt).

They're nice for multimedia though, I wish for a 21:9 screen choice if you ask me. :D

Gonna scroll a lot though with such screen(s).

Something like the different between 2006 MBP (which looks exactly like Powerbook G4) and 2008 Unibody MBP redesign is more than welcomed (Though that glossy black bezel around the screen is ugly).

I bet as you have said, minimalistic design but it won't look exactly the same.
