I just bought an SSD for my mbp and I have some question.

do I need to update the SSD firmware? and how do I do it.
I dont know if its just me but my boot time is kinda slow.
I just want some suggestion so i can get the best performance out of it.

    Thank you for your time.

updating the firmware is always a good idea, not always necessary though. to do it go to intel.com and look up your model
TRIM is not currently supported by OSX, only Vista and Win 7

At the moment no, but plenty of users have used theirs in the MBP with no significant decrease in performance so you should be fine. The only SSD's with built-in garbage collection and is preferred by many users are the ones with the Sandforce controller.
