Has anyone found an app that actually works to get any temps off the new models?

SMCFanControl reports 0ยบ C all the time, so I've been trying to fix it since the source is actually available, but I can get no info from the CPU for temperature... almost like Apple didn't even put one in there... I can get temp readings off the heatsink but thats not that great... going to try the GPU and some others... but i want to know if any apps out there get the CPU temp so I know if its just me or they really don't put in a temp sensor.

ok just learning SMC to fix this so not knowing much of whats gong on, but looks like Apple changed their number scheme for their sensors from how they've done everything before, just gotta figure it out... There is probably some way to poll the SMC and just get it to report back things, but SMCFanControl code doesn't do that, it just tries the main ways used directly.

well I found the temp sensor for the CPU finally in the SMC... Apple changed and stopped using standard keys for it for some reason. A lot of temp apps are broken because of it, but the better programmed ones like iStat which probe and find it all out dynamically still work instead of assuming Apple would follow standards.

Of course i don't have a fixed version to give out yet, because there some some problem when I'm building it on my machine that the fan controlling stops working... so then the temp works, and you can see the fan speeds, but not change them... uhhggg... maybe I'll just wait til the creators release an official update :p

Just for the sake of getting the temps readings, I'd either go to Bootcamp->Windows and run HWMonitor or HWinfo32/64

    I don't run Windows...

and iStat has the wrong temps for the CPU. I haven't found an app yet that reads the correct CPU temps, and I'm not sure if the ones I found from the SMC are right either, because they are way too high. Either that or they are reporting it back differently now and I need to figure out how to convert the data into Celsius properly.
