    Hello all,

I have a circa 2007 Macbook I have been having issues with and figured maybe you guys could confirm my suspicions.

My wife was using the laptop when it froze and she cycled the power on and off without talking to me. After that it would hang when loading OSX. I fiddle for a bit, ran the disk utility and managed to get OSX to boot. It froze again after a few hours and now the Disk Utility cannot detect the hard drive.

My guess is the drive is dead, but maybe you all know something I don't.

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a dead drive to me as well.
