    Macbook Fan Problem

    Hi guys, my macbook fan is constantly on even when idle. I tried to reset the System Management Controller with no luck. Can anyone help me out the fan is driving me crazy. thanks in advance

    According to istat, my fan is always on too, usually around 2000 rpm at idle.

    Yeah, it's normal if it's around 2000rpm. Nothing to worry about there. ;)

    if u want to control ur fan speed use smcFancontrol

    No,what im saying is.. when I turn on the mac it sounds like something is hitting the fan. To be more specific it sounds like an Apache helicopter even at 1500 rpm. My question is if I take it to the genius bar how much would they charge me? thanks in advance

    If you have apple care they will not charge you anything. If you don't its going to be parts plus labor. My guess for something like that would be around 100$.
