I know the MBP 15' has a superior display than MBP 13.

But what's display quality regarding the Macbook (newest unibody design) 13' and MBP 13? Specifically, what's the video playback quality of the Macbook relative to MBP 13?

I am looking into getting a 13 inch Macbook, but I will not buy it if the screen quality is bad because I have to watch a lot of high quality video.

    Thanks!

All the current MBP's have an excellent and approximately equivalent quality display (although the largest the display the higher the resolution).

The MBA has a display of similar quality to the MBP's (some say better because it has less glare)

The MB's and older uMB's have an ok display that is noticeably inferior to the MBA or MBP. Its still quite useable but contrast ratio is lower and colors muddier (particularly blacks which makes it less ideal for high quality multimedia). Take a look in a BestBuy or Apple store before you buy if possible.

I have a 13" MBP and I got my wife a new 13" unibody MB. When viewing straight on in a normal posture they are very similar. The MB has noticeably less viewing angle. Colors/contrast of the MBP are a bit better, but unless your very picky the average person probably wouldn't notice. The new MB screen is an upgrade from the previous version.

IMHO, between the current MBP and MB...since the hardware specs are very similar, the deciding factor for me was the Al unibody and the inclusion of an SD card slot in the MBP. Had to buy my wife a simple SD card reader for her dang MB just to download digital pictures
