I have the infamous CPU Whine which to me is very annoying considering i have sensitive ears. Will apple repair it somehow through warranty? Just FYI i have a Unibody Macbook.

It's prevelant in all processor architectures starting from the 80's I believe. It became much more noticable once processors began to impliment power savings features, and some were able to fix it simply by disabling the C4 state.
    Linky.

I notice it in my macbook when I boot up into XP, if the power setting is set to portable, but if I set it to "always on", it doesn't happen.

Check out this video. The person who made it was able to catch it very well.

I have a ThinkPad T500. I recently noticed this when I went on battery. After doing some research I found that disabling the "CPU Deeper Sleep" option in power management resolved the problem. I don't know if there's anything similar on the Mac side but I would look into it.

    Good luck.

    Yes they will address it.

HOWEVER, probably not at an Apple Store. The reason is pretty simple: Most maintenance areas of the Stores are too noisy to allow techs to hear the noise.

If I were you, I'd set up an appointment thorough Applecare specifically indicating that you have a whine, that it is audible in domestic circumstances. The chances are that they'll direct you to an AASP.
