Hey all! I have a white macbook that I bought a year and a half ago. I am, however, in love with the new macbook aluminum.

I am curious... the internal hardware of my macbook is still in great working shape... so is it possible to purchase a macbook aluminum without the internal hardware and transfer my current macbook hardware into the aluminum including my motherboard, processor, hardrive, superdrive, battery, etc...?

I am basically intersted in the new macbook look, LED screen, mouse pad and light up keyboard but keep everything else from my current macbook.

    Thanks!

    I dont think so..

then again, if u do that. ur old mb will be nothing but junk.

its better if u sell ur old one for cheap, then buy the new mb.

Impossible. If you haven't noticed, the port layout and size is very different. It's a completely different machine altogether and it's not a refresh.

don't be discouraged by these people. you definitely can. however, cost will be a limiting factor.

in order to do this, you would need:

    an old macbook.
    a new macbook.
    a ton of money.
    a ton of time.

So we are talking, at a bare minimum, your current macbook, a new macbook ($1200), probably $30,000+ for the job, and maybe a few weeks or a month. and even then, when its done, youll have a laptop that isn't quite as good as the current macbook, because the hardware IS better in the macbook.

Of course, you could just buy a new macbook and get the bonus of better internal hardware and perfect results the first time.

it'd be 100000000x easier to sell your current one and use that to buy a new one.
