I am looking for a good macbook air stand to save space. Since my MBA has external monitor and mouse/keyboard connected, I can leave it closed. I was looking at the BookArc Stand but I can't seem to find it in Taiwan. Any other good suggestions? An alternative I found was to build my own using ikea napkin holders.

If Henge Docks (the company that makes the BookArc) doesn't ship to Taiwan (and you can't find them in a physical store or an online store that will ship there), you won't really be able to do anything to get their BookArc aside from having someone in the U.S. buy it for you and ship it overseas.

I have come across custom made MBA/MBP stands that use napkin holders, custom cut and glued wood, cardboard boxes with slits in them, and even Legos. Your options are pretty open if you want to make the dock yourself. You can always glue Legos together and make the stand to your liking. A 405 piece Lego set, in the U.S., is about $25 and that would work just fine for building what you want (along with some epoxy/super glue). You could even obtain some felt to cover the inside cradle so that you don't scratch your MBA with the plastic legos.
