Hi! It seems, that HDD in Macbook Air is dead. Now I`m in search for replacement. The problem is that I dont exactly know what HDD interface do I need. The part number of the laptop is MB543LL/A and it has 120Gb HDD. Please, help me to find the right HDD. Thanks in advance)
P.S. And I will be grateful if anyone could send me a link where to buy needed HDD. Thanks!

It depends on which MBA you have. First gen MBAs have a PATA drive in them while second gen MBAs have a SATA drive.

Looks like a 2nd gen since it has a 9400 according to the model # so you need a 1.8" SATA which seems to be hard to find in a traditional drive. Maybe look for a SSD drive?

I thought I have 2nd gen Air (or Rev. B). It has 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2 GB RAM, 120 GB Hard Drive. But I looked at specs on Amazon and it tells that the HDD is PATA... Really dont know(

According to Everymac it's SATA: http://www.everymac.com/systems/app...core-2-duo-1.6-13-nvidia-late-2008-specs.html
But you're going to have to open it anyway so you may as well check.
