I have a 9 month old MBA 13" and I am looking to get the new MBA 13".

My current is a MBA 13" 2.13 Core 2, 4 GB ram and 256 GB HDD.

It also has a Apple care plan on it.

    1. What is it worth to sell?
    2. Is the Apple care transferable?

    Thanks.

The Applecare is transferrable but you're not going to get the best answer here. Your best bet is to go on Ebay and see what the going price is, especially based on the condition of your machine. For example, I use a silicone keyboard cover on my Macbook Pro. I've never typed on it without so I have zero wear or shine on my keys and that makes a difference in terms of selling power. Strong hinge plays a role, no signs of wear on the right palm rest, etc...so that's why no one here can give you an exact number. Also keep in mind yours does not have the backlit keyboard and unfortunately that's a deal breaker for some especially since the new ones have it so that will hurt your selling power a bit.

256 gb sounds like an SSD storage number.

I have a SSD. This model was top of the line fully loaded for the MBA 2010 version.

I might just give it to my niece if the price has dropped a lot. She has a 2008 White Macbook 13".

I would suggest loosely basing your asking price on what the refurb units are selling for through Apple. If you're feeling ballsy, post it for higher than the refurb price, but noticeably less than a new unit.
