i bought my mac 2 days ago, n it seems it has already started showing problems. the key for the letter 'K' seems to skip sometimes. usually even if i press the edge of the key, it accepts the letter or command. but when it comes to 'K' i have to make sure i have to press dead on it. n i can risk of hitting it harder in case if i break it or sumthn........
i read few reviews and news bout macboo have eyboard problems.but i have already updated the firmware for it, n it still showing the problem.

    any idea whts goin on?

i havent heard of this problem, but if you contact apple, they usually replace you macboo with a brand new one ( if your one is bought brand new). this usually happens if anything faulty is happening when you just bought your notebook (2-3 days after you got it).

Agreed... an exchange sounds like the best way to go. More likely a hardware problem than a software/firmware problem...

In my 3rd month, my caps lock key 'fell off'. They replaced for me, no questions asked. :)
