My Mid-2010 13" MBPro Core 2 Duo (P8800) spinng gear freezes on boot up. This happened with two sets of (2x4GB) 8GB G.Skill FA-10666CL9D-8GBSQ kits. What can be done to resolve this? MBPro is spec'd for a min memory speed of DDR3-1066. The G.Skill is DDR3-1333. Could either of these be a reason?
Should I consider resetting NVRAM / PRAM?

If the system works fine with the original sticks, then it probably is the RAM. Core Duo/Core2 Duo Macs are much more picky about the stuff than Core iX models. Return what you have and purchase the correct 1066 memory, and you should be fine.

Yeah, the 1333MHz ram won't work with the FSB. It's not like SB/IB where it decreases memory speed to match what it can handle.
Refund and get 1066MHz DIMMs -
I actually got the (2x4GB) 8GB G.Skill FA-10666CL9D-8GBSQ kits to work on the following 2009 & 2010 Macs.
iMac9,1 Early 2009 24" Core 2 Duo (E8135)
MacBookPro5,1 Early 2009 15" Core 2 Duo (T9550)
MacBookPro5,5 Mid-2009 13" Core 2 Duo (P8400)
iMac10,1 Late 2009 27" Core 2 Duo (E7600) {2 banks worked, 2 banks failed}
iMac11,2 Mid-2010 21.5" Core i3 (I3-550)
Still waiting to see if it will work on
MacBookPro5,3 Mid-2009 15"
MacBookPro6,2 Mid-2010 15" Core i7 (I7-620M)
iMac11,2 Mid-2010 21.5" Core i3 (I3-540)
I am hoping to find (2x8GB) 16GB DDR3-1066MHz PC3-8500 for the following locally but it appears I must get it abroad. >.<
