I have just recently noticed that when I put my computer to sleep the Apple logo flashes every few seconds and that it gets out of sleep mode by itself. When I went to turn it off it quickly turned on again. It happens whether it is connected or not. I have tried a few things and this http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1764969&tstart=0&start=15 but nothing has worked. I bought this computer last December, so it's still under warranty. I cant reset the SMC because the computer does not remain turned off, when I shut it down it automatically turns on again. Also I did a hardware test, both the short and the long ones and it said that there where no problems. I am a college student and I can't afford another computer so I am a bit scared that this is going to damage it. Sorry for my bad English.

What happens what you hold the power button down to turn it off? Does it turn back on?

It turns off then in less than a second on again. When I checked the hardware test battery life was at 77%, which I think is too low for a 5 month old laptop.

    A narcissistic macbook?!?

I think apple is the best bet as well, the last thing you want is a exploding laptop.
