Im new to the "Mac World" and have a crucial question:
Say i downloaded a program I no longer need, what are the proper procedures to take to delete the program COMPLETELY from my hard drive?Im an experienced Windows user and in the Control Panel there is an "add/remove programs" tab which I'm sure most of you guys are aware of. My question is whether there is the same type of option available for Mac users OR if the proper technique to completely remove programs is just simply drag all affliated programs into the "trash" --- thanks in advance

sometimes applications create other files, like preferences.
go to the finder- click the house (should have your name)
go to documents and do a quick glance sweep, and then do the same for the library:
application support folder and preferences folder.
that should be it.
its not necessary to delete those files, though. they aren't potentially damaging to the operating system installation as are leftover registry entries in windows... -
wow thanks
