There on sale all the time. The problem is there all the same MSRP price.

Sometimes the older models are sold off at university prices.

No, they never go on sale. There is no direct competition, so there's no need. It's a bit like Rolex, if you want you, you better get ready to shell out big bucks.

Haha 25% of all Macs? Anyone with any sense will not that this is not true.

    Apple does not do "sales".

They do promotions. Like buy a laptop, get a free Ipod touch.

Apple doesnt hold sales that I've seen but sometimes 3rd party resellers do.

The company selling through Amazon I got a Macbook Pro from had it brand new and on sale $250 off MSRP. You can maybe find sales if you look around.

As stated, Some 3rd party sales do happen, such as Micro center seems to run $200 rebates bringing the base macbook down to $799
At this time that $200 rebate is in the form of a pre-paid Visa card that can be cashed in at many banks
    Micro center

It might be worth your time to check out Low-End Mac. They list the best prices on Macs and update their listing biweekly. Highly recommended for that service. (As an aside, their articles tend to be more of the fanboy variety, so i'd probably skip over them.)

Most of the rumors are claiming 25% off all Macs. In fact, the so-called Black Friday ad by Apple says 25% and not 35%.

10% on Friday is what Apple has done before.

The new ad is clearly a fake. The word "of" is used instead of the word "off". For example, "35% of all Macs". lol!

Best Buy has Macbook Pros on sale right.

You can get the 13" that regular price is $1499 for $1399 or the 15" that normally sells for $2299 for $2099.

Amazon is also offering a few Macs at reduced prices.
