    Hey everybody,

I've had my notebook for about a month now and everything was working perfect....... I watched like 6 hours of Lost season 2 on it yesterday (I don't see how this would do anything) and then this morning......things went bad

I turned on my mbp and the screen is really messed up. Its like the colors have gone wierd, its hard to explain, it kinda looks iradesent, like gasoline or something.

I tried restarting a few times and then changing screen res, and # of colors in system preferences....didn't do anything. I then hooked it up to an external display. The external display works fine.

Sooooo anyone have any ideas what this could be?

    Thanks

Sounds like possibly a loose video connector maybe, or could be any number of things. You should definitely contact AppleCare though, so it can be diagnosed and fixed.

Yeah, it's probably a good idea to contact AppleCare about that. If it happened without any physical abuse, it's likely to be something glitchy like the video connector.

I'd try resetting NVRAM first tho, hold down Alt+Apple+P+R right after turning it on and keep them held down until you hear the chime a second time, then release. If that doesn't help, call AppleCare.

If it worked on an external mnitor, then t is a problem with the lcd in some way. Call AppleCare.
