You sure it was an ACTUAL docking station for that MBP? I never heard of a docking station for Mac portables, then again I'm not entirely familiar with what MBP has, but I know from looking at the MB, there is definitely no docking station for it, becuase there is no connection port for it.

There are third party docks. They are rather elaborate actually, and usualy very expensive. Unfortunatly, Mr. Jobs does not believe that people should use a portable at home or the office.

The only ones I've seen aren't impressive really. Looks like someone took a mat, and attached adapters in small black boxes on the sides & line up with the ports.
Kinda hard to explain, but they looked really cheap, and they wanted a lot of money for them.

Hmm.. considering how hot Macs run nowadays, isn't that a little hypocritical on Job's part? You can't seriously expect someone to take their MBP out all the time - or even on the lap... oh the consequences.

I run my MBP on my lap all the time, and it doesn't get hot. The heat issues are mostly in the past.

I use mine almost exclusivly on my lap. It's not just macs that are running hot. Any Core Duo unit runs hot.

I have to say it's actually cooler than a few of the pentium mobiles i've used (mainly the gateway tablets).
