Greetings - I had a MacBook unibody for about a week while I installed Bootcamp XP/etc on it for my daughter - then I shipped it to her. I would like to get one for myself later this year, funds permitting. However, I have seen comments in several posts about potential problems with the battery cover. Does the battery cover have a design weakness or is it just really tricky to re-attach to the system? TIA...

It's easy, you just have to make sure that the tab is up first and that it won't close all the way untill you push the tab down.
You can click my RAM video down there and at 4:44 you can see it going on, it went right in the first time I just didn't realize I had to put the tab down. -
The tabs have to be molded back in place a little bit and it will fit flush and perfectly.
It's an easy fix, but to answer your question geuinly, yes, it is a design weakness. -
Thanks to both of you for your replies. I liked my daughter's MB alot - and it ran very well with XP in Bootcamp. But, I swap HDD's more than occasionally and I hate cosmetic imperfections. I guess from the comments that I have seen that the cover must be fairly thin metal - if the tabs can be bent or molded. Thanks again...

Yeah it is thin, but if you are careful and not being aggressive when taking it off you won't have a problem.
