    They're all technical benchmarks, not everyday usage, but still interesting nonetheless.

    why do those benchmarks seem the SSD version seem worse?

    They don't? SSDs have their biggest advantage at reading, not so much writing.

    Those benchmarks look pretty much as expected. SSDs have slower write times but much much faster read times.

    Also SSDs have a big advantage in random (rather than sequential) accesses.
