Can the Mail application be used for other email addresses other then .mac? Can I have a hotmail address to use "Mail"?

You can use mail for more than your .mac account. I don't have a .mac account and I have it linked for my school mail and my gmail account. If you google something like "os x mail ____" (whatever service you use), I'm sure a helpful tutorial will come up.

So I can totally hook it up as my hotmail address and use it? That would be superb since mac mail is the best application for mail. It seems to be better than other ones since it manages so well.

As long as Hotmail allows it. I have not used hotmail in years, but they used to not allow POP3 for free.
