    Hi guys,
So this is the fifth time in this month my mac give me a screen of death. Something like this:

I just checked out the bottom, and it's freaking hot.
I have no idea. why this happened.
Do you think that I should come to apple store and ask for a replacement? Will they even give me one?
This thing happned either in SL (clean install) or Leopard.

Install iStat and check what you fans and temps are like, when did you last clean the fans, are they blocked or not working, iStat will show you.

Also have you run the mac , diagnostic program , boot up while holding the d button , you might have to have the applications, not the install dvd in the drive for it to work.

What kind of USB stuff do you have connected, some times that may cause it to kernel panic.

    NONE.
Thanks for the suggestions, I will try it out tomorrow.

You guys are really night owls. I am having trouble sleeping tonight, so I stay up late.

If this is happening after a clean install that might mean their is a hardware problem. I'd recommend calling Apple.

I definitely agree with this. First thing I would do is reset the pRam.

If you still experience problems, try taking one of your ram sticks out(assuming you have two), and alternate them if it happens again. This should eliminate the ram as the problem.

If you're still having issues then it's time to call Apple. Usually when you've done some troubleshooting yourself they're more inclined to bump you straight up to a product expert who can get your problem fixed quickly.

Last time I had a kernel panic, my logic board failed within three days.

Like Tinderbox said, run the Apple Hardware Test from the Apps disk (disk 2) on reboot - Link on how to do it. Run the first pass with the standard test and if it checks out OK run the second pass on "Extended" test mode which takes over an hour to complete but that should rule out any hardware issues.

I've had this happen to me once and I recall uninstalling something (it may have been SMC FanControl in my case) and it never happened again.

I've gotten that screen once. I was trying to shut down the mbp and in the process, it gave me that screen. Hasn't happened since.

    Weird.

I decided to bring my mac to an apple store, since it's start beeping yesterday for no reason.
Temp has been increased to mid 60s (4000rpm)
    I think I have a lemon.

if the kernel panic (that screenshot shows that) was up on your screen for a long time, thats probably why it was so hot... for some reason that cranks the CPUs up to 100% and really warms things up in a few moments.

i also believe you got a lemon. it came on my mind when you once said you tried to upgrade the ram and got a failure.
