    hey guys,

just bought a mac pro (the desktop) and it comes with 1 gig of ram (2 * 512mb). I am planning on buying a 2 gig kit from crucial (2 * 1 gig); my question is can i combine the ram already in there being 2 * 512 with the crucial ram being 2 * 1gig?

    cheers

Yes, you can put up to 16GB of RAM in it.

The Mac Pro has 8 DIMM slots, so I'm sure occupying 4 of those slots shouldn't be a problem.
